From North, South and East:
Exit M6 at junction 31. At roundabout take 1st exit (s/p
Preston A59) onto the A59. At mini-roundabout after 1.0
miles, by the Hesketh Arms, take 2nd exit (s/p Ring Road,
Blackpool A583, Football Ground), onto the Blackpool Road
A5085. Straight on for 1.2 miles, then filter left before
lights (s/p Town Centre, Football Ground) into Deepdale
Road. Ground is on LHS. From West: Exit M55 at junction
1 (s/p Preston, Garstang) and at roundabout turn right (s/p
Preston A6) onto the A6 Garstang Road. Straight on for 2.0
miles through two sets of traffic lights, signposted `Town
Centre', then `Blackburn, Clitheroe, M6 North', to a 3rd
set of lights. Here, turn left (s/p Ring Road, Blackburn,
Clitheroe A59, Deepdale Retail Park) onto Blackpool Road.
At next lights after 0.7 miles, turn right (s/p Chorley
A6) onto Deepdale Road. Ground is on LHS.
The
club hopes to provide some parking for visiting fans behind
the new Bill Shankly Stand. Alternatively, local schools
such as the ones in Moor Park Avenue and St Stephen's Road,
off Deepdale Road, offer safe parking for �2. There's plenty
of street parking around the ground, although steer clear
of Lowthorpe Road, Hollins Road, Parkside and St Stephen's
Road, which are emergency access routes. Cars parked in
these roads will be towed away.
FROM
RAILWAY STATION (Preston): About 1.6 miles.
By bus: All buses at the railway station go to the bus station.
From there, bus nos. 5, 6 and 19 run along Deepdale Road.
The no. 19 has the most frequent service.
By
foot: Come out of station and turn left in front of the
Fishergate Centre, passing `The Railway' pub. Turn right
at T-junction. The main road bends to the left and becomes
Corporation Street ... don't go along it. Instead continue
straight on into Fishergate, which after 0.75 miles becomes
Church Street. At junction with A6, go straight on into
the continuation of Church Street. Where road divides keep
left into Deepdale Road. Ground is on RHS after 0.75 miles.
