Dickov,
Sinclair and Gillespie all played 90 minutes of football for
the reserve team on Tuesday night at Southampton's St Mary's...and
were on the losing side, 3-1.
Just
under 3,000 Saints fans and a lot of media watched the 3 lads
who were booed every time they got the ball in the game entitled
Saints versus Sinners.
Dickov
said afterwards: "Good to be back playing again? Of course
it is."
Reserve-team
coach Peter Shirtliff told the club's official website, "It
was a good fitness exercise for all those concerned, we got
through the game without picking up any injuries.
"Paul
Dickov, Frank Sinclair, Keith Gillespie, Lilian Nalis and
Peter Canero all got a full 90 minutes of action under their
belts which they needed after a lengthy period without a game."
City's goal was scored by Williamson.
City:
Coyne, Powell, Sinclair, Stearman, Priet, Canero, Gillespie,
Nalis, Dickov, Will-iamson (Dawson), Porter. Subs (not used):
Petrescu, Murphy, McGavigan, Dodds.
Micky will now decide whether they are available for the Everton
game on Saturday saying,
"If
I feel that theyre mentally and physically fit, they
will certainly be in the frame."
