The
Mirror continues to find out more background about the alleged
victims in the La Manga case, now saying that one of the women
is lying about her injuries.
Here's
the story in full....
A NURSE who claims soccer rape accuser Beatrice Wanjiro seduced
her husband said yesterday: "She is a proven liar."
Faith
Grosch, 47, added: "I know this woman well, unfortunately,
all too well."
Faith
works with her husband, 54, in a private orthopaedic practice
in Germany, where Kenyan Beatrice and her two friends now
live.
She
disputed Wanjiro's claim that a problem with her right knee
was inflicted in the alleged attack by three Leicester City
footballers. She said it was a long-standing complaint which
she had treated.
Faith
said Wanjiro had a two-week fling with husband Dr Burkhard
Grosch, claiming to be a secretary at the Kenyan embassy in
Bonn. In fact, she was working as a prostitute.
She
gave Dr Grosch a sexually transmitted disease, said Faith.
On
the allegations against Paul Dickov, Frank Sinclair and Keith
Gillespie, Faith claimed: "These boys have been set up."
Wanjiro,
31, fellow Kenyan Martha Wilbert, 37, and Malawi-born Ruth
Lourenco, 36, claim Dickov raped Lourenco as Gillespie pinned
her to the wall of a hotel room at the La Manga resort in
southern Spain.
Wanjiro
alleges Sinclair tried to rape her and Wilbert claims she
was punched in the face. The three players vehemently deny
any wrongdoing.
Faith
learned of the allegations from relatives in the UK. Yesterday
she said of Wanjiro: "I have witnesses to her behaviour
when we knew her, and I will quite happily speak to the police
and give evidence against her. I'm not frightened of her.
"I
feel very sad for these footballers. Wanjiro is attracted
to men with money and these young guys must have been easy
prey for her.
"She
makes up stories and I can prove that. I believe she played
upon the injury to her leg and made out that it was caused
during whatever happened.
"She's
very manipulative and clever - and I hear she and her friends
have made a lot of money selling their story from this.
"They
knew exactly what they doing. Why would an alleged rape victim
sell her story? This woman tried to ruin my life, and she's
now trying to do this to these footballers."
Faith,
who works with her husband in Cologne, added: "I massaged
her leg. She said she couldn't walk more than one kilometre
because of the pain. She even wore a support.
"She
is a compulsive liar who tried to steal my husband from me."
Wanjiro
seduced Dr Grosch four years ago, said Faith, even though
she knew the couple had two young children. Faith added: "She
offered him sex, but wanted gifts including an expensive watch
and holidays in return. They were planning to go to Kenya
together. She also said my husband was going to build a home
for her mother there."
After
Wanjiro said she worked at the Kenyan embassy in Bonn, Faith
sent the £300 bill for treatment there. It was returned
addressee unknown and never paid.
Faith
recalled: "I became suspicious of my husband because
he kept coming home late.
"One
night I went down to our clinic and found her sitting there.
I asked her who she was and she boldly replied, 'He's my boyfriend,
yeah, he's my boyfriend'. I couldn't believe it. I was stunned.
"I
confronted my husband and he admitted he was sleeping with
her. He said he liked her big bottom and she was good in bed.
"I
was heartbroken and lost a lot of weight. We had two small
children. I couldn't believe this woman was doing this to
me.
"I
found out she was a prostitute by tracking her down to the
hotel she used.
"It
was so obvious. My husband found out she was not a clean girl.
It was horrible for us both.
"Thankfully,
my husband left her and we got our lives back to normal. She
disappeared, and we got on with our lives."
Dr
Grosch was tested for Aids afterwards and cleared. Faith added:
"Although she was a young girl at the time, only about
27, she was very experienced in what she was doing. My husband
was weak and fell for her.
"We've
now been running our orthopaedic practice for 18 years and
have got over what happened."
Dr
Grosch said: "I knew this woman and had a short affair
with her. I learned what she did for a living and ended our
relationship.
"She
had treatment for her leg when we first met. It was a bit
of fun at the time, which I deeply regretted.
"She
was living in a hotel and I did become suspicious of her and
what she did to make money."
Medical
reports on the three women, seen by the Daily Mirror, said:
"Beatrice Wanjiro complained of discomfort in the right
shoulder and right knee. We observed multiple bruising. She
was injected with Nolotil (a strong painkiller)."
Lourenco
and Wilbert had heavy bruising, the reports said.
Dickov,
31, Sinclair, 32, and Gillespie, 29, were released last Friday
on total bail of £196,000, after spending a week in
Sangonera jail in Murcia.
All
three claimed at a private hearing before a judge that the
alleged attack on Monday, March 1 was nothing more than a
heated row.
Transcripts
of their evidence to a Spanish judge, seen by the Mirror,
showed contradictions on several points. The trio are now
back in training with Premiership Leicester while the investigation
into the women's claims continues.
