Micky
Adams stressed today during his live press conference that
the players are innocent until proven gulity, and he thought
they were innocent. He also said that some of the 9 were not
even there.
Whn
questioned about discipline and his methods he said he treated
them as adults, but a minority had let him down, and maybe
he should have imposed a curfew...but he couldn't follow all
of them 24 hours a day.
After
a question about the Birmingham game, he said all players
who are available to play on Sat will be up for selection.
He
kept re-iterating that an internal investigation was to be
held, and then he would decide what action to take against
who.
He
said he felt he had a morale duty to offer to resign, but
the Board were adamant he was right man for job, and he says
he owes it to the fans to not quit.

The
players here in Leicester have also released a statement.
"After
events of the past week, the players wish to reaffirm their
commitment to the club and to the manager and that they will
be doing everything possible to keep the club in the Premiership
in the remaining games of the season.
``We
can assure our fans that we will be concentrating all our
efforts on preparing for Saturday's match with Birmingham
City and that we will not allow events of the past week to
undermine those preparations.
``Regrettably,
we have been advised by our legal representatives, that at
this moment in time we cannot make any comment regarding the
accusations made against some of the players.
``All
we can reiterate is that the players concerned continue to
protest their innocence in the strongest possible terms of
all the criminal charges laid against them.''
