According
to the Sun (yes, them again), the £250,000 trip to La
Manga is now going to cost City a staggering £27m.
How
do they work that out, you ask?
Firstly
because of a quote, yes you guessed it, by a "spokesman"
from the club's shirt and stand sponsors Alliance & Leicester
saying "We understand that customers and the public
are concerned by stories such as this..
So
the tabloid has spun this to mean City are £2m down
on sponsorship.
We'll
ignore the fact that the A & L certainly haven't said
they're pulling out or that LCFC have got a contract with
them and probably have already got the money etc.
Then
they say we'll lose £25m by being relegated, "leaving
them with a huge financial black hole"
If
they hadn't noticed we were already bleeding going down by
the looks of it and the club have budgeted for it. The club
are actually up on what they expected to be this season, financially.
We're
sure the City players will of course pay all their own legal
fees when this sorry affair is over.
FFS
two top tips for supporting your team today:
1) If you have an Alliance & Leicester account, write
and tell them to give their continued support to the rest
of the team, club, staff and fans.
2)
Buy Brum away tickets and pencil in next Satrurday as a day
you'll scream yourself silly supporting those lads that do
pull the Leicester shirt on.
