Micky
Adams must be tearing his hair out. He thought he was taking
the lads for a break in the sun and have a bit of training
and team spirit stuff.
He
should know better by now. This is Leicester City. Remember
what happened 4 years ago in La Manga when Collymore got a
bit excited with a fire extinguisher?
The
stories are coming back to England that there has been some
sort of incident involving several of the players.
The
shock allegation appears to be sexual assault by 8 Leicester
players against 3 women.
So
now we have 8 Leicester players being questioned by Spanish
police as a result of alleged incidents during their training
camp in Spain.
Despite
only arriving there on Sunday, the rest of the squad have
flown back to England after cutting short their stay.City's
Chief Executive Tim Davies is understood to have flown out
to Spain to meet up with Micky Adams who has remained with
the eight players.
A
club spokesman confirmed: "The club is aware that eight
players have been interviewed by Spanish police.
"This
is a result of alleged incidents which took place during the
club's training camp in Spain this week.
"The
club is co-operating fully with the authorities in their investigations
but, as these investigations are still ongoing, it is not
in a position to make any further comments at this stage."
They
really shouldn't be allowed out on their own...
