City defender Ben Thatcher is likely to be named in the Wales squad for the first time on Monday.

Although City fans have been chanting "Thatcher for England" this season, it appears that Snatch is hoping to use the new rule which allows former Under-21 internationals to play for another country at senior level.

Thatcher qualifies for Wales through his Welsh-born grandmother, and Wales are expecting to receive Fifa approval for Thatcher to switch his allegiance from England to Wales.
