City
announced this week that they have made a loss of £4.5
million in the three and a half months since administration...but
apparently this is good news and well less than expected!
Chief
Exec Tim Davies said,
"The
company operated significantly ahead of forecast for this
period. Our loss for the period before taxation was £4,591,000.
"This
loss was caused by the club being taken over in mid-season
without most of the annual income but with the full costs
for the period."
"I
would like to pay a special tribute to all those involved
in saving the club and for supporting the club during this
very difficult period.
"To
name but a few, we thank all the fans for their support -
both vocal and financial - the staff, the business community
of Leicester and Leicestershire and our shareholders."
Fantastic
support has seen many games sell out and Chief Operating officer
Macey's not doing a bad job with various income generating
schemes and new merchandise.
