Muzzy Izzet has said that he's willing to wait and see what sort of contract City can offer him in the new year, and that he wants to stay at City. He said,

"I was surprised to read speculation that I would not be staying at the club when my contract runs out at the end of this season," said Izzet.

"That was certainly news to me. I haven't talked to anyone about it and I have no thoughts of leaving.

"There is a way I can see myself playing for Leicester City next season - but I accept it is a Catch-22 situation.

"The club cannot make me an offer until they know what league they are going to be playing in and I understand that."
