The
Foxes Trust has announced that they have made a second investment
in Leicester City Football Club and that the investment was
made before the Premiership season kicked off.
Paula
Aldred Trust Board member - Finance commented
"Once
we had an initial indication of the amount that Alan Birchenall
had raised from his end of season run, the Trust board agreed
that the members would want any available funds invested in
the club without delay to aid Micky Adams plans to keep us
in the Premiership."
Ian
Bason Chairman of the Trust added
"A
high proportion of the additional £30,000 invested has
been a result of Birch's efforts over last season and on behalf
of our members we would like to thank Birch for helping the
Trust increase our shareholding within the club."
Commenting
on the potential of the Trust ploughing more money into the
club in the future Bason stated
"Any
further investment will be targeted at specific areas which
we will discuss with the club over the months ahead.
"Our
main focus at present is to ensure that the fan's views are
heard and we shall be working closely with the club and its
officials to make sure those views are represented when decisions
are taken by the club."
