How
tedious. Evey time a manager goes, ours gets linked with the
job...even if it's in lower division.
Why
Micky would want to take a step down a division to a club
with no team and no money after just signing a new contract
here really should mean the tabloid hacks don't write this
nonsense. But they continue to do so.
From
the Sunday Mirror:
LEICESTER'S
Micky Adams and Steve Coppell of Brighton have emerged as
the front-runners for the vacant manager's job at West Ham.
But
caretaker Trevor Brooking is a step closer to taking charge
after a delegation of Hammers stars begged him to take the
job.
The
Upton Park board met last week to discuss potential candidates
for the position vacated following the sacking of Glenn Roeder
- and Adams and Coppell top a list of potential successors.
West
Ham would like to move for Adams following his success throughout
the leagues on limited budgets at Fulham, Brighton and Leicester.
But
the potential stumbling block is financial compensation of
about £500,000 and the Leicester board's reluctance
to allow talks to take place.
