.. New away bus travel (01/08/03)

City have signed a new agreement with Leicester coach company Ausden Clark to run coaches to away games for up to 500 fans.

There will be a special introductory travel price of just £8 (subsidised by the club) to take the coach to Chelski on Saturday August 23. Under 16s and grannies will be £5.

On the official site, Chief Macey said,

"We are pricing this new service very competitively and want to give our supporters an excellent value-for-money service in which they can travel to games in comfort and with as little stress as possible,"

"We believe our new coach service will take away the strain of getting to Premiership grounds where inevitably parking is more difficult and congestion more severe.

"Fans will be able to park their cars in safety at the Walkers Stadium, walk onto a coach and be dropped off right outside the ground.

"Agreements are already in place with other clubs for our coaches to be given priority to be allowed to exit the ground as quickly as possible after the game."

Chelski tickets go on sale from the club ticket office on Saturday and Foxes officials are expecting a significant number of the 1,900 fans travelling to the game to travel by coach.

"Nothing would give us greater pleasure than to take a fleet of 10 coaches or more. We appreciate that Chelsea is not the cheapest place to visit and hopefully our discounted coach price will go some way to reducing the total cost of making the journey," added Mace.

Paul Ausden-Clark, Managing Director of Ausden Clark Ltd added: "I am very enthusiastic about the new agreement between LCFC and our company.

"I believe the advantages of using a locally based coach company of this size will enable greater flexibility to cater to the club’s requirements.

"Ausden Clark, which has a fleet of 50 coaches of all sizes, is extremely experienced in transporting large groups of passengers whilst ensuring a high standard of customer care."
