City
look set to announce two more signings.
Keith
Gillespie, the Blackburn winger, has agreed terms with Leicester
City and is set to sign for them subject to a medical.
And
Micky Adams has admitted that he is in talks with West Ham
frontman Les Ferdinand.
Gillespie,
the 28-year-old Northern Ireland international, has been released
by Blackburn. Leeds United were also interested in the former
Manchester United and Newcastle winger. Adams said:
"He
is an experienced Premiership and international player and
will fit into the way we want to play this season.
"He
plays wide on the right and has pace and skill. And at the
age of 28 he still has a lot to offer. I think he will be
a valuable addition to our squad.
"He
will be having his medical today and, subject to that, will
sign for us."
Gillespie
began his career as a Manchester United but moved for £1m
to Newcastle. He then moved to Blackburn for £2.25m
but was released at the end of last season by manager Graeme
Souness.
Adams
is also talking to 36-year-old Les Ferdinand about a possible
move to Filbo, saying,
"I
have had talks with Les about joining us but, at the moment,
there is nothing further to add on that."
Lilian Nalis, the French player who is training with the squad
has yet to sign a contract.
