City
have signed Riccardo Scimeca from F"£$%^ on a freebie.
The
28 year old defender / midfielder, will be out of contract
at the City Ground on June 30th and couldn't agree to new
terms with the Trees that were offered to him.
Scimeca,
a former England U-21 Captain and England B international
moved from Villa to F"£$%^ in 1999 for £3m.
He made 166 appearances for the Trees, including 45 last season.
He
can scored from free kicks and take corners as well as playing
in different positions. Sounds like a damn good signing.
City
boss Micky Adams said,
"Riccardo
was one of the driving forces behind Nottingham Forest last
season.
"He
can play in a variety of roles in midfield or at the back.
He will be an excellent addition to our squad.
"We
will be looking to bring in more players in the not too distant
future."
