Leicester
City went through to the final of Sky's Masters' tournament
for the first time in their history yesterday.
Having
sacked the likes of Birchy and Walshy, City looked like they
meant business with the likes of Ali Mauchlen, David Lowe,
the original ooh Tommy Wright, Gary Mills, Alan Paris, Ian
Banks and Tony Spearing amongst others.
Last
minute goalie replacement came in the form of Dale Belford
(Who?-Ed) who apparently was on our books as a kid but went
to Hinckley. He was awesome and kept us in several games.
City
started badly, losing 1-0 to Ipswich, then beat Norwich 3-1
and drew with Cov 2-2 to meet favourites Ipswich again in
the final.
With
the support of loads of City fans (and all the Norwich fans!)
City played their hearts out and stuffed Ipswich 5-1!
So
far in the final are Newcastle, West Brom and Leicester. It's
to be held at the Telewest Arena Newcastle Kick off 3pm Sunday
7th September 2003 Box Office: 0870 707 8000. More information
