Would
your kid like to spend the school holidays learning soccer
skills with Leicester City's summer football programme?
The club are running their summer soccer courses at 13 venues
from July 14, and the Leicester Mercury have five places to
give away.
Top
players out of the 2,000 expected to attend could find themselves
on the first rung of the football ladder because those youngsters
who impress coaches will be recommended to LCFC Development
Centres and the LCFC Girls Centre of Excellence.
Courses
for 8 to 13-year olds include goalkeeping and soccer sessions
and last up to five days. The club are also running mini kickers
sessions for 5 to 7-year olds and girls-only courses.
Venues
include Wigston Magna, Blaby, Ibstock, Melton Mowbray, South
Wigston, Mountsorrel, Hinckley, Leicester, Uppingham, Whitwick,
Barrow upon Soar, Loughborough, and Oadby.
The
courses included every aspect of football such as heading,
dribbling, passing, shooting, turning and team play. And,
despite a busy pre-season training schedule, it is hoped that
some of the Leicester City players will be able to come along
and present certificates at some of the courses.
Five-day
courses cost £20 for mini-kickers and £40 for eight to 13-year-olds
but book by June 30 and receive a discounted rate. Application
forms and further details of the courses are available fromCity's
Football In The Community Department on 0116 291 5223.
To
win one of five places just answer this question - Which one
of these players came through the LCFC Academy? A) Tommy Wright
(cough - Ed) B) Brian Deane C) Paul Dickov?
Send
the answer plus name, address, age and daytime phone number
to Soccer Course Comp, LCFC, Walkers Stadium, Filbert Way,
