Leicester
City hosted their first full England international and it
seemed to be a great success.
With
UEFA watching for any sign of trouble and appeals from David
Beckham not to get us chucked out of the Euro finals before
we've even qualified, Leicester hosted a game that passed
off without incident. (Except when we got told off for making
paper aeroplanes.)
There
was an anti-racism theme, applauding of the Serb national
anthem and the usual rubbish from England livened up by Rooney
wanting a fight, a good Mexican wave and Joe Cole winning
the game with a great goal.
Leicester
players spotted by FFS included Darren Eadie. He's seeing
the doctor next week and trying to start some running. He'll
have to see what the doc says. He still doesn't know if he'll
have to retire yet and he'll be in Leicester til the end of
July cos his little lad's at school here.
FFS
also asked Trevor Benjamin why he was on crutches. He went
in for routine cartilage op in the off season and woke up
to be told there were lots of things wrong in there. He won't
be back for the start of the season, which is not good news.
Hope it heals quickly, Trev.
