City
fans today arrived at their seats in Filbert Way to find a
voting card. A white C on blue on one side, and a blue F on
white on the other side. Practically idiot proof.
At
half time, the Birch, along with reps from the Foxes Trust,
Cliff from the Supporters' Club and John "Motty"
Motson from the Beeb, stood on the pitch ready to count 32,000
cards.
It
was a close run thing. (Stop taking the michael-Ed).
Ok, so it was well over 90% in favour of City and didn't
need to be looked at in any great detail. The result was pretty
obvious.
"There's
only one City" chanted the Stadium, and Mel had to announce
that the safety guy was worried someone would lose an eye
once the paper aeroplanes started raining down from the stands.
Mel
announced over the PA at the full time whistle that John Holmes
and the Directors had therefore already decided, with no need
for a photo finish, that we were, and always would be, Leicester
City FC.
Tell us what you think about this in our FFS Fans
Forum.
