Several
City Legends turned out last night for a Q & A session
in the Great Hall to raise money for the Foxes Trust. The
evening, organised by Birch, saw 500 tickets sell out in under
3 hours.
A
packed Great Hall saw Gordon Banks, Graham Cross, Neil Lennon,
Gary Lineker, Gary McAllister, Frank McLintock, Alan Smith,
Ritchie Norman and Frankie Worthington lining up to have a
laugh with the fans.
Walshy
couldn't make it as he was playing in Tamworth, and Houllier
refused to let Emile Heskey attend. (boo hiss)
The
panel were split over the name debate with Banksy and Lineker
going for Fosse but Lenny, Gary Mac and Wortho going for City.
Gary
Lineker revealed Cloughie had tried to sign him but Gary wouldn't
sign for F£$%&*. Frank McLintock also wanted everyone
to know it was him that had signed Gary Lineker for Leicester...the
only good thing he did in his awful year as manager!
There
were plenty of Fergie dressing room type stories, mainly by
Lenny about MON including the famous tea throwing incident
and also how MON had gone chasing after him down the tunnel
the night he was captain for first time but got sent off...and
MON tried to punch him!
When
asked when he was coming back Lenny replied "When you've
got some friggin money!"
The
raffle of various City shirts signed by all the legends will
have raised a few grand and a print signed by the 66 England
team donated by Banksy raised £1000.
