The
Football league today issued the following statement...
STATEMENT
RE. LEICESTER CITY FC
A
constructive meeting took place today between Football League
officials and the consortium looking to take control of Leicester
City FC.
At
the meeting it was confirmed that current restrictions on
the signing of new players will remain in place until the
new consortium has completed the purchase of the assets of
the club from the administrator.
The Board
of The Football League will then have to decide the conditions
upon which the transfer of Leicester City FC’s membership
share in The League will take place.
Once
this has been achieved The League will meet again with Leicester
City FC to formally agree arrangements going forward.
But...the
Leicester Mercury are reporting that the Football League have
done a U-turn and are allowing to sign players!
The
Mercury report that a deputation of prospective chairman Jon
Holmes and chief executive Tim Davies met the League this
morning and the decision was reversed. Holmes is reported
as saying
"We
had a very satisfactory meeting with the League and they have
now accepted our business plan."
Adams
added: "We are now in a position where new players can be
signed and that is good news."
So
what the bugger is going on??? Can we sign anyone or not?
Tell us what you think about this in our FFS Fans
