The
Foxes Trust have issued the following statement announcing
that they have helped the consortium buy the club.
Foxes
Trust is proud to announce that their application for 100,000
£1 ordinary shares has been accepted.
Jon Holmes announced on Tuesday that New Fox PLC had secured
enough funds to complete a deal with the administrators. New
Fox PLC hopes to be able to conclude a deal with the administrator
within the next few days. This achievement is a tribute to
all Leicester City fans who contributed via membership fees
& donations.
Jon
Holmes in an interview on Sky Sports News commented,
"It's
a fantastic effort by the community as a whole. The Supporters
Trust also came in with money. It's an effort of which the
city and county can be very proud. There's no institutional
money coming into football now. It's for the community to
get in and support clubs."
Foxes
Trust will now work towards securing further investment to
increase it’s shareholding with a view to having an elected
representative on the Board of Directors of Leicester City
FC.

which can benefit our members and the football club."
