It looks like Adams is about to give up on the idea of continuing to grovel to the Football League to be allowed to get a player in on loan before 31st Jan.

Both Benjamin and Scowcroft are both now apparently on the road to recovery and the City bos has told local press that the dithering from the Football League has led him to tell them to forget it.

"The idea was for loan signings to get us over our problems in that one area and we made that known on Monday,'' Adams told the Leicester Mercury.

"But it has dragged on and now we have to consider whether it is worth pursuing."
