The termpo is upping as the 31st Aug deadline day draws near for many of the Premiership clubs.

There is renewed speculation that Villa will pursue Muzzy Izzet now that their attempt to sign Matt Holland from Ipswich has fallen through.

Most worrying though are newspaper stories suggesting that rather than the original £6-8m we wanted for Muzzy last season, LCFC would be willing to let the Turkish midfielder go for a miserable £3.5m in the curreny financial climate.
