Planetfootball is reporting that Sunderland's Peter Reid is going to make a £3m bid for James Scowcroft.

Sunderland need a big frontman to replace Niall Whinging Quinn who is getting past it and going more into the coaching side of things.

Scowy has never made a real impact at Leicester, scoring only a handful of goals, and has never been fully fit since Taylor signed him.

He's looked slow in pre-season games and is being played out of position in the left of midfield.

He always looks miserable as sin as well so FFS says take the money and get rid!
