City fans were left speechless yesterday when the news broke
that West Brom are actually interested in signing Lee Marshall.
Although
it is for an undisclosed fees, rumours have already surfaced
putting a £1m price tag on Marshall...bloody hell! Take
the money!
The
Baggies want an experienced midfielder. Played in midfield
instead of defence, maybe Marshall will do a storming job
for them. Why both Taylor and Bassett persevered in playing
him in defence was always beyond any City fan.
Leicester
manager Micky Adams confirmed the transfer to BBC Radio Leicester:
"Lee
will hold discussions with West Brom regarding a possible
transfer.
"The
parties have agreed the terms of transfer and the rest is
down to the player and his agent."
It
is unlikely that Marshall, who was signed by Taylor for £600,000,
will not want to return to the Prem, and City are desperate
to give players away to reduce the wage bill. Marshall will
be talking to WBA on Thursday and has therefore not gone to
Finland with the rest of the squad.
