FFS heard last week from inside the club that Boro's interest in Muzzy had decidedly cooled off as they were signing other players.

Seems that despite rehashed stories in the press this week on the back of Muzzy's imminent return from Japan, Boro boss Steve McClaren has denied that a £6 million offer made for Leicester City midfielder Muzzy Izzet last season still stands.

"There's no bid on the table," he revealed. "We're weighing up other options on the transfer front."
