The
EGM has been cancelled...after Kinch realised he couldn't
get enough votes to win.
City
shareholders have been patiently waiting to see what Kinch
was going to offer but his proposals never arrived, and today
it was announced that the EGM had been cancelled.
The
official site ran the story
with Steve Kind, Chief Executive of Leicester City Plc, saying
""The
Board is delighted with the level of support that it has received
and that the overwhelming majority of shareholders who have
returned proxy voting forms have voted against the proposed
resolutions.
"The
Board hopes that the withdrawal of the requisition and cancellation
of the Extraordinary General Meeting will enable all involved
with the Club to concentrate on the new opportunities presented
by its move into the Walkers Stadium and Micky Adams’ push
for promotion back to the Premier League."
