Some people have a nerve, and some people are just stupid.
Gilbert Kinch obviously is trying to fall into both of these
categories.
The
former director today used his family amd company shares (10.1%
of LCFC) to call an Extraordinary General Meeting, and called
for shareholders to get rid of the existing board.
The
EGM will be held on July 11th at 7.30pm at the new Walkers
Stadium. The
last EGM in 1999 saw over 3000 City fans turn up to overwhlmingly
reject the Gang of Four that Kinch was a member of along with
Barrie Pierpoint, Roy Parker and Philip Smith .
The
requisitionists who have called the EGM are Gilbert Kinch,
Janet Kinch, Wayne Kinch and Leicestershire Sporting Limited,
a company set up by Gilbert Kinch.
The
requisitionists proposed resolutions to remove the current
non-executive directors Sir Rodney Walker, Greg Clarke, John
Elsom, Martin George, Bill Shooter and Brigid Simmonds and
replace them with Gilbert Kinch, Denis Cassidy and Freddie
Fletcher.
Denis
Cassidy and Freddie Fletcher...sound familiar? It would if
you were a Newcastle fan. Cassidy is a former non-executive
director of Newcastle United and Fletcher was Newcastle's
executive chairman until his resignation in May 2000. (with
a £532,000 pay off)
That'll
be the Freddie Fletcher that thought it was fine to chuck
Newcastle season ticket holders out of their seats so the
club could make more money from corporate w***kers.
And
the one that was a director of PTV...the NTL company that
does all the horrible NTL websites including Leicester's.
If
Gilbert Kinch thinks that Shareholders are that easily swayed
just because share prices are low or we've been relegated
then he's an even bigger idiot than we first thought.
FFS will be at the EGM next month to show Kinch and his money
making cronies what we think to them.
