Coventry City player-manager Gary McAllister has backed Micky
Adams to guide Leicester City back to the Premiership.
McAllister
who was linked with a player-coach role at Leicester will
come up against Micky Adams as both clubs bid for promotion.
McAllister is looking forward to the competition and admits
it is not the first time the two have gone head-to-head.
McAllister
told teamtalk.com,
"I've
played against Micky loads and loads of times and have a lot
of respect for him. He's done well in difficult circumstances
at other clubs and I'm sure Leicester have got the right man".
The
former Scottish international is also looking forward to the
many local derbies next season. He said,
"I'm very excited about next season. There's going to be a
lot of interest in the Midland derbies. It will be interesting
because there are four or five Midland clubs looking to get
back in the Premier League".
An
ex-Leicester City player, McAllister was disappointed to see
City relegated. He told teamtalk.com,
"It's
very sad that Leicester have gone down. It's not the first
time it's happened to clubs who are moving to new stadiums
but I know the club is geared to play in the Premiership League
and I wish them a speedy return".
