A cheesy disco like the worst wedding you've ever been to.
Cliff Ginetta's mic not working (to muffled cheers). The players
legging it to their own little rooms whenever they could and
leaving as soon as physically possible. Yes, it was the Supporters'
Clubs annual bash at Filbo.
No Sav or Micky Adams (both abroad) or Tim Flowers in attendance
but Roycey and Big Trev were back from loan.
The
Academy kids looked scared to death and huddled together at
the bar.
Darren Eadie says he'll be another 5 months. Matt Jones was
looking good but still limping. He's still out until Christmas.
The
players all gave the supporters a round of applause for the
season, and lifelong member and former director and top bloke
Bill Shooter made a speech about how he'd had tears in his
eyes at the Man Utd game and thanked everyone for that. He
also said he's gonna get Birchy's run set up as a proper charity
to go on every year for ever.
Harry
Bassett announced the Young Player of the Year as Gerry Taggart
and Goal of the season as Mad Frank.
The
real winners were...
Goal of the season - James Scowcroft v Leeds (he nearly broke
into a smile)
Young
Player of the year - Matty Piper
Player
of the season - Mad Frank.
But
the best news for City fans... Junior Lewis is back! He was
immediately mobbed by autograph hunters. (But to be fair most
were laughing hysterically and talking about having to have
the signature of the worst player ever to have pulled on a
Leicester shirt.)
FFS
still thinks Junior is one of the nicest blokes ever to grace
our club and therefore declare him a cult hero and Filbert
Street legend. Welcome back Junior!
Tell us what you think about this in our FFS Fans
