After the bizarre incident at the end of the City - Villa
game, Villain George Boateng has apologised about the whole
thing.
At
the final whistle, as Dickov's boot came off in a late tackle,
George Boateng grabbed the boot and appeared to try and throw
it over the East Stand!
He
faces an FA investigation after the referee made a note of
the incident.
"I
apologise to Paul Dickov for what happened. I was frustrated
because Villa had not won, but even so I'm sorry for what
I did," Boateng said on the Villa website.
"I didn't throw Paul's boot into the spectators - I just threw
it up in the air and it actually landed back on the pitch."
"There
was certainly no malicious intention, but I know I shouldn't
have done it and I apologise for my actions," he added.
Took
you long enough to apologise, George! FFS thinks you're Bonkers...quite
bonkers.
