In
amongst all the fuss over the stadium's new name and the fact
that we have a new manager as of next week, came the news
today that John Elsom was no longer Chairman.
Not
out of choice though. He suffered a vote of no confidence
from his fellow board members. The last thing we need now
is another boardroom wrangle and split surely?
The
new Chairman will be Martin George, our, er, old Chairman.
Elsom
tried to keep his chin up in the interviews saying that the
board were still united but he was now in the minority so
had to go.
George
was the man who brought Martin O'Neill to Filbert Street and
is a bit of a tougher cookie that John Elsom.
Elsom seems a genuinely a nice bloke and has always treated
fans well when we've seen him. He's had to get us through
some rough times and the rest of the board are as much to
blame for some decisions that have been made recently (Keeping
Taylor for so long, getting Bassett, the name of the stadium).
So cheers for what you've done John. Now lets move forward
eh?
Tell
us what you think about this in our FFS Fans
