City boss Dave Bassett and his assistant, Micky Adams, were both on scouting duty this weekend.

It doesn't look like they're any closer to bringing in any loan signings though. Despite fevourish attempts to strengthen a depleted squad with on loan players until the end of the season, particularly up front, City will have to make do with what they've got for the game against Derby on Saturday.

Bassett watched St Johnstone's clash with Livingston in the Scottish Premier League at the weekend, and Adams was abroad checking out other potential loanees.

The result? "There is nothing imminent from the trip." said Bassett.
