The
bookies' odds show that City are firm faves to go down this
season, with current odds to stay up being about 16/1.
19th-placed Derby County are also doomed to relegation according
to the bookies who have put them at odds of 1/7, despite the
appointment of John Gregory as manager.
Bolton
(11/10), Blackburn (5/2), Middlesbrough (3/1), Everton (9/2),
and Southampton and Sunderland (both 4/1) are all available
at shorter prices.
Ipswich are 5/1 despite only being five points off the bottom
three with 30 points, some 10 short of the estimated safety
mark of 40 points.
Have
the Bookies got it right? Is it still worth a bob or two in
the hope City can beat the drop?
