Planetfootball
are saying that City have been linked with a £1 million swoop
for Motherwell starlet James McFadden.
They
say that "with key midfielder Muzzy Izzet on the brink
of a £6 million switch to Middlesbrough Foxes chief Dave Bassett
is looking for a new face in that area with 18-year-old McFadden
seemingly fitting the bill".
Apparently
the talented teenager has "shone for a struggling Motherwell
side this season netting eight times and his performances
have not gone unnoticed with a number of Scottish clubs looking
at the young Scot."
Eric
Black is desperate to keep McFadden at Fir Park but the financial
plight of the Lanarkshire club could force them to part with
the player who was voted the SPL's young player of the month
for January.
Leicester
have repeatedly said that they have no money to buy players
with though, and are looking for loan deals, so how much truth
is there in this story?
Leicester
are also thought to be keen on Lorient's Ivory Coast striker
Elie Kroupi with a possible loan deal mentioned.
