Leicester
have now received a formal written offer for Muzzy Izzet from
Boro, have agreed on a fee and are to allow Muzzy to talk
to Boro at the end of the week when he returns from international
duty with Turkey.
On the official site, City chairman John Elsom said:
"We have given permission for Middlesbrough to open discussions
with Muzzy.
"The
club received a written bid from Middlesbrough which we are
in broad agreement with although there are a couple of small
matters still to be finalised."
Under the terms of his arrival at Filbert Street from Chelsea
five years ago, City must pay the Stamford Bridge club 27
per cent of any transfer profit - approximately £1.4million
if the £6m fee is agreed between Boro and City.
