"Nottingham
Forest have rebuffed attempts by Leicester City and Crystal
Palace to sign Stern John on loan.
Leicester
boss Dave Bassett enquired about the possibility of taking
Forest’s 14-goal leading scorer to Filbert Street as he looks
to kick start his side’s Premier League survival bid.
Palace
also tried to secure John’s services on a temporary basis
after last week failing to land the Trinidad & Tobago international
with a reported £150,000 bid.
Forest
are adamant they will not let the 25 year old leave The City
Ground in a loan deal. But they have hinted they would listen
to offers for the former Columbus Crew man, who will be out
of contract during the summer.
The
Reds have already revealed that they have no plans, at this
moment in time, to offer John a new contract."
