In the aftermath of Taylor yet again blaimng everybody and
his dog about his demise at Leicester, Mickey Adams got a
few digs in at Thursday night's Q & A session.
Micky
was asked if he would sign Zamora. He said "Yes" (predictably)
and that they'd enquired about him, only to be "told by the
Brighton chairman that he was worth five million", which appeared
to be a dig against Taylor making the same comment about Akinbiyi.
Mickey
also mentioned that Taylor had enquired about Zamora when
at Leicester, and been knocked back. Mickey said,
"Thank
God I didn't sell him to you lot".
When
asked why as that would've meant that we had now, he said
"Who
knows what The England Coach would've done to him".
Mickey added that the fitness levels when they arrived were
"woeful". He quoted that he'd been told there were 14 injuries
in the first week of pre-season
Birchy
also read out the Brighton score at Adams' request with Mickey
apparently saying "Go on Birch, get the b-stard".
I
think we can assume that MA isn't PT's biggest fan...!
