It's finally official. What City fans have been hoping for for weeks and months. Akinbiyi has finally been sold. At a £2.8m loss.

The official site announced today that:

ADE Akinbiyi today completed a £2.2million move to Nationwide League First Division club Crystal Palace. The fee will rise a further £150,000 should Palace win promotion to the Premiership within the next three years.

Foxes boss Dave Bassett said:

"Ade's effort and commitment could not be faulted and we wish him all the best for the future.

"Crystal Palace enquired about Ade, we have agreed a fee and we think it is in everyone's best interests if he moves on."

Now he's no longer a Fox can we all stop trying to be behind him? Nice bloke, tried hard, totally crap striker!

Anyway, good luck Ade. You gave us a few laughs at times if nothing else.
