City's
number 2, Micky Adam,s has managed a sideswipe at ex-boss
Peter Taylor in an interview with Rick Broadbent in the Times.
"I’d
like to think I left him a club that was in a better condition
than the one he left me,” Adams said.
“I
came from a vibrant place with fit and organised players to
a relegation dogfight. If you’d asked me in my first few weeks,
I’d have said I’d made the wrong decision.
"But
the gloom has gradually lifted and if the players had worked
as hard for Peter Taylor as they have for us, there would
not be a problem.”
Micky
is also not too impressed with the Premiership stars that
swan around in flash cars and big houses!
“You
get better professionals outside the top flight,” he said.
“The
pros at this level take it all for granted. They think it’s
always going to be there — the money, cars, restaurants.
“Lower
down, life’s not like that; the players have to look after
themselves because they know that if they don’t their families
won’t get fed. There have only been isolated incidents here,
but I get frustrated when I see players wasting their talent.”
