Bassett
infuriated Leicester fans today with his commenst to 5Live
after the game.
Although
he was obviously as frustrated as us, he seemed to think we'd
played quite well at times and deserved something from the
game...he was watching a different game to most of us then.
Speaking
to the BBC Bassett ranted:
"Lee
Marshall made an elementary error that an amateur shouldn't
make"
Bassett
also singled out Jamie Scowcroft for missing a chance, which
was hardly fair when the rest of the team were playing so
badly, saying
"We
had a great chance with James Scowcroft but he's got the Leicester
bug which means he doesn't score."
Bassett
also said on 5Live that "The players didn't show any
moral fibre" and he also said on the official site that
if he a choice he would drop some and move things about as
they aren't good enough. You just worked it out Dave? We told
you Taylor had brought in 2nd division stuff...
Bassett
even went as far to say,
"If
I was a young manager, I might have beaten half the team up
tonight - with a baseball bat." !
Muzzy
Izzet stated the obvious on the official site after the game
with
""We
can't concede goals like the first one if we are to stay in
this division, which we all want to do.
"We
have simply got to cut them out because they're costing us
vital points in vital games. "
At
least Muzzy didn't slate poor Marshall (Lee, if you're reading
this remember, "if in doubt booit the bloody thing out"!)
saying,
"Lee
Marshall has done well this season but he knows he made a
mistake.
"He's
held his hands up and apologised but we've got to look forward
and try and put it right."
Tell us what you think about this in our FFS Fans
Forum.
