City
put in a woful performance at Portman Rd this Boxing Day,
crashing to the bottom of the Premiership with a 2-0 defeat
by the Tractor Boys.
Boss
Dave Basset went loopy afterwards ranting;
"Players have got to stand up. They earn good money and
have got to start taking responsibility for earning that money.
"It
is just lucky that half our team aren't brain surgeons or
aeroplane pilots.
"They lose and win as a team. They don't realise how
important it is to the club, they don't realise how important
it is to their club.
"I don't go around criticising players unnecessarily
at all, but I don't see why I should sit here and defend the
indefensible.
"It
doesn't matter to me if I get the sack, I am not a young manager.
"If I was a young manager, I might have beaten half the
team up tonight - with a baseball bat.'
