City hope to have both Brian Deane (groin) and Muzzy Izzet (neck) available on Saturday for the home game against Southampton. (Where kids can get in for a fiver.)

Unfortunately there is not such good news on Gary Rowett and Gerry Taggart. Rowett came back too quickly and is having to undergo keyhole surgery on his knee, buggering up a possible £3m move to Charlton. He could be out weeks or even a few months.

Gerry Taggart responded badly to training and in the worst case scenario could be out until February now.

Denni Wise's yellow card on Saturday as he took Ginola out and off means he's clocked up another 5 yellows ( yes, already!) to pick up his suspension for the Leeds away game.
