City
are still waiting on Middlesboro to see if they can sign striker
Brian Deane this week. Apparently terms have been agreed with
Deane, but he is squabbling over something with Boro.
City
boss Dave Bassett said yesterday
"The
deal is in their hands."
"The
move is still bubbling under but it's not concluded yet. The
player is currently discussing his situation with Middlesbrough.
"Whether
that can be resolved or not remains to be seen. I had hoped
it would have been completed by now.
"I
get a little apprehensive when these things drag on and on.
It's now out of our hands - it's all between Brian and Middlesbrough.
We've done all we can from the Leicester side of things.
"Middlesbrough
have some sort of disagreement with it. If it can't be sorted
out by the end of the week I think the deal will be dead."
Deane
is 33 years old and out of favour up at Boro, but could be
the answer to City's lack of goal scoring temporarily.
Is Deano the answer or is he past it? Tell us what you think
