Bassett
on Muzzy:
"He's
a fine player and we saw today, as we did at Blackburn, that
he has given 100 per cent for this club. Nobody can suggest
that he is selling us short....If Muzzy stays with us for
the rest of the season and we stay up that will be great!"
Bassett
on Ade :
"I'm
absolutely delighted for him after the stick he took a couple
of weeks ago and it's nice for him to be the hero today with
the fans behind him and everything else. It must have been
an enormous relief for him and I'm so delighted because you
don't like to see people get pilloried and criticised to that
degree. It's easy to criticise, he's absolutely thrilled and
I'm sure he'll take all the headlines tomorrow. The players
are also really pleased for him, we are a team and they recognise
you've got to stick by your fellow team-mates when they are
having a bad time.
Bassett
on the team:
"I
thought the character of the players shone through today,
their attitude has been good and they've got a reward for
it. I don't want to jump to conclusions, people are quick
to look for instant answers, we go to Manchester United in
a couple of weeks and Alex has probably been quaking watching
our game today but we know how much we will be tested at Old
Trafford. But this is a start, we've got four points in a
week and if we can average that to the end of the season I
will be delighted."
Reidy
on his lot of chumps:
"I
thought we started sloppy, but overall we had a lot of chances
and a lot of the ball. A couple of the chances we had were
really good, but we haven't hit the target and we've paid
the penalty. I was disappointed with our start. I thought
we came here with an attitude of 'it'll happen', but you've
got to make things happen."
Ade
on Ade:
"I
have waited a long time for this moment and I'm going to savour
it as long as I can. I've always said that when I scored that
first goal many more would come and I now believe that more
than ever. Hopefully this will start a flood of goals for
me."
Man
on No 22 bus on Ade:
"'Bout
friggin time ya overpaid lump. Now get a friggin hat-trick
against Man Utd or we'll friggin send you back to friggin
Wolves. Or worse, to McGhoo. And tell that friggin Benjamin
to stop friggin falling over whilst your at it. Friggin Donkey's
the pairs of ya."
