Frank
Sinclair probably didn't buy a copy of the News of the World
today. It revealed that he and 4 Chelsea players had been
on a total bender and rather embarrassed themselves.
Frank
went out in London with Chelsea's Frank Lampard, Jody Morris,
Eidur Gudjohnsen and John Terry the day after the awful events
in New York.
The
NOTW revealed that "the Premiership players went on an
astonishing FIVE-HOUR booze-fuelled rampage in the wake of
the world's worst terrorist attack — STRIPPING naked, LAUGHING
and VOMITING in front of shocked and grieving Americans in
a hotel bar."
The
lads went ten pin bowling at one point, and Frank went sliding
head first down one of the bowling alleys, nearly getting
his head caught in the barrier that comes down to collect
the pins!
He
also apparently went outside at another stage in the evening
and pissed in a bin.
The
Chelsea players have been hauled up by their club, fined £130,000
between them and they have all apologised for being twats.
Frank
on the other hand has made no comment and Leicester City not
taken any action that we know about as yet.
Frank
was subbed off after only 30 minutes on Saturday and was fuming,
after a piss poor show. Bet Taylor was most unimpressed when
the NOTW had called just before the game to break the story
and ask for comments. Hardly surprising Frank's mind was elsewhere
knowing this story was going to come out...
Here's
what the NOTW has to say...do you agree?
WE
should not be surprised that a group of young, talented, but
clearly moronic millionaire footballers have disgraced themselves
in public again. It has happened many times before.
But
what makes the drunken behaviour of Chelsea's Frank Lampard,
Jody Morris, Eidur Gudjohnsen, John Terry and Leicester's
Frank Sinclair so sickening was that it took place only 24
hours after America's greatest tragedy.
Without
a shred of understanding of what the nation was feeling, these
arrogant ‘stars' who claim to be role models for our kids,
shamed the memory of those who died—and the grief of their
loved ones. As the civilised world wept, these louts downed
pint after pint of lager, vomited and urinated in public—and
even exposed themselves.
The
only people to emerge from this disgraceful episode with any
credit are Chelsea Football Club themselves. They cannot be
held responsible for players' actions away from the club.
And, as soon as they found out, they hauled in the four Chelsea
culprits, shamed them into making a public apology and fined
them the maximum amount possible.The
money is to be donated to the disaster fund.
Leicester
should do the same to Sinclair. It is time they ALL faced
up to their responsibilities.
Should
Sinclair apologise and should City take action against him?
Or was he just out on the lash with the lads like we all do
at some point in our lives?
