Mr
Savage is popular in the papers today. After last week's shenanigans
at Derby, the journos are falling over themselves in the rush
to get the exclusives and dirt on Sav.
So
the club sensibly said, nope, he aint talking to none of you
vultures, piss off.
That
dunt stop them though, they talk to us instead! And nick loads
of stuff from the web. And rehash old interviews to make it
look like Sav has granted them an exclusive...cheeky bleeders.
The
Observer has done a good fair piece where they've done their
research, taken quotes from all over admitting Sav aint talking
to anyone at the mo. and given both sides of Sav, good and
bad.
Oh
and they've quoted FFS so we like them.
Entitled
"Hair of the dog" the Observer has quotes from fans
and fellow professionals...here's a few.
"f******
cheat, f****** cheat," George Burley, Ipswich manager
"Only
he could get an Armani tattoo" Ryan Giggs, Manc scum
and fellow Welsh git
"I've
set up a page on my website showing how much I dislike him."
Paul Taylor, sad Spurs fan (www.spursonline.co.uk)
"We
need players like him because of the sterling service he provides
to opposing fans" Alex Priest, the Chelsea voice of reason
(www.chelsea-fc.org.uk)
"At
times he's a snarling cheating monster of a player, but nobody
can deny he gives his all for Leicester City - a fine quality
in a footballer at any level. Although he may not be the most
talented player in the world, he has a head of hair that any
woman would be proud of." Paul & Ian, articlulate
Geordies, there's a novelty (www.toonweb.co.uk)
The
News of the World have rehashed anything they can find and
made it look like they're suddenly best friends with Sav seeing
as he's flavour of the month and therefore sells papers. But
at least they've made him look like a good guy. And suddenly
he's man of the match in there too for the Fulham game.
Their
piece entitled "Savage's Animal Instinct" has him
at the PDSA, and the sub title "Robbie's a real softie
at heart." They quote him from the Fulham game's programme
amongst older stuff. That's copyright aint it? Are LCFC watching?
Football's
public enemy number one last week, the press's darling this
week. How wonderfully fickle the tabloids are...

you think about this in the Fans
