According
to several web sources, City's underfire boss Peter Taylor
could be even closer to losing his job now after the disastrous
result against Middlesbrough.
Taylor
must have thought that his boat had well and truly come in
on Monday night when his City team played out of their skins
and went 1-0 up in the first half. Unfortunately it did not
last and with just minutes left a double strike by 'Boro did
nothing to enhance Mr Taylor's future job prospects.
This has all led John Elsom, City chairman, to almost speak
out against Taylor. Something that he has never actually done
before.
He
said, "In the end, a manager stands or falls on results
on the field.
"And
those results on the field have to be earned by the players
themselves so Monday's 2-1 home defeat against Middlesbrough
was bitterly disappointing for all of us."
When
drawn on the subject of a replacement, possibly Harry Redknapp
Elsom would only say, "I won't say yes, I won't say no.
In fact, it would be unfair of me to comment in any way because
Peter occupies that position at the moment."
Which
still leaves us in the dark.
