The
Worthington Cup game against Leeds has had to be rearranged
after Leeds manager David O'Leary threatened to send out a
reserve team in protest at having to play matches so close
together.
The
game was due to take place on Monday October 8th after ITV
again decided that they would screen the game live on their
new Digital Sports Channel. O'Leary though was not having
any of it and protested to the FA to switch the game to another
date due to International matches being played the weekend
before.
The
game has now been moved to Tuesday October 9th and will NOT
be shown on ITV.
Personally
FFS feels that City and the FA should not have given in to
Leeds. City will now lose bucketful's of cash for not having
the game on TV and on a more personal level,l I won't be able
to attend as I have to work on Tuesday's. Plus the fact that
City may have had an even better chance of progressing had
Leeds sent their reserve team.
