City
boss Peter Taylor has begged Filbert Street bosses to let
him know where he stands amiss speculation that Harry Redknapp
has been in talks with City bosses.
After
Taylor's job saving draw against Ipswich on Saturday he immediately
wanted to know if he was due to be replaced despite assurances
from John Elsom that he would be given the time needed to
try and turn City's fortunes around.
"The
speculation can't be good for the club" Taylor said,
"It can't be right for players or supporters for them
to keep reading that there will be a change of manager.
"If
it's going to happen then it will happen but if not then they
should bat it back and say that it is not going to happen.
"A
statement would really clear things up. That's what the situation
deserves"
The
lack of silence from the club on this matter has obviously
got Peter Taylor just as worried as the rest of us. Another
piece of news that will surly only add to the tension surrounding
his future employment at City will be the revelation that
City's PLC Chairman Sir Rodney Walker left before the final
whistle, missing City'slast gasp equaliser.
With
Redknapp also admitting that he would love to leave his Director
Of Football role at Portsmouth and return to managing, the
future is certainly looking bleak for Peter Taylor. But until
a statement is issued by the club we can only speculate.
